Der Tesla Fridge – 20L Kühlschrank für Model 3

This fits directly in the rear underwell in my Tesla Model 3. It has a really long cable that runs all the way to the front that you plug into the 12v under the front arm rest (no, there's no other place to plug it in on a Standard Model 3). I ran it all the way on the right, and under my feet mats to run up to the arm rest 12v plug in. After the cooler is cooled down to the correct temperature, this Fridge has almost no sound. Road noise completely cancels out any sound coming from it, and it barely requires any power after it has cooled down. I tend to cool it down an hour before I leave while still plugged in at home, and then its already at the correct temperature when I leave, however, it cools down much quickly than that.

Now, this thing comes with a plastic hard grate that replaces the lid that normally goes over the rear well. This grate provides protection from anything placed on top of it, but it also provides air flow for the fridge. However, due to the laws of thermodynamics, if you want it to cool things down, it needs more than just the locked airflow of the trunk. You will need to open one or both of the back seats so the air can flow into the cabin and cycle with the cool air. Otherwise, the fridge may not cool down enough. However, if you have the seat open (even just a little), it will cycle the air and work well.

The app takes a little while to find. You're looking for "TESLA FRIDGE" in the App store. Once you find it, its some generically-made Chinese app that really all you need is temperature reading and control. You can control the power settings in the app, but it might take a little while to connect. You have to be patient with it, but you can connect to it, and I have never had an issue trying to connect to it on the road.

The space of the fridge isn't great, but that's not the point. It will store a little bit of groceries, or some cold road food, or some drinks and keep it cool. I've found I can keep roughly 2-3 meals cool very easily in the fridge. You will need to clean it out, but its not too difficult to clean out. Just wipe every now and then with a cleanup wipe.

Fits in rear lower trunk well. Does not use much energy and keeps fridge temps evenly. My only complaint is the power cord has to be plugged into center console and the plug is to long an interfere with the tray. It fits but not well. The app is very simple and only allows on off and temp control. No timer or second function.

Perfect fit in trunk of model 3 ready to freeze in thirty minutes. We leased the Tesla for a commuter vehicle. We live in rural New Mexico. We are 70 miles from closest super market. We do our shopping on Sundays after Church so freezer is ready for groceries on the way home. It a great product so is the Tesla model 3 we have solar power at home so win,win, win for us, thank you Tesla Fridge.

Love my fridge unit, it works perfectly on my overland adventures. The customer service is extraordinary too!
